Betty Jo Spurlock

Betty Jo Spurlock, 74, of Marion, Ohio passed away Sunday, June 25, 2017) peacefully at home. Ms. Spurlock was a native of Lawrence County, Ohio. Born March 21, 1943, the daughter of the late Willard Sr. and Dove Justice Gore. Betty Jo was a graduate of Rock Hill High School and was retired from the Quaker Oats Company. She loved spending time with her son, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant son and by: five brothers; Willard Gore Jr., James Gore, John Gore, Robert Gore, an infant brother and two sisters; Ione Malone and Frances Doolin Boyce. She is survived by her son; Carl F. Spurlock Jr. of Marion, OH., three grandchildren; Carla Spurlock, Daniel Spurlock, & Sarah Spurlock all of Marion, OH., six great grandchildren; Quelin, Christian, Amarion, Hayden, Kylah, & De"Airah, a brother; Clifford (Donna Mae) Gore of Kitts Hill, OH., a sister; Emma Jean (John) Scott of Springfield, OH., two sister-in-laws; Eva Mae Gore of Newark, OH. & Eileen Gore of North Baltimore, OH., and many nieces & nephews. Funeral services will not be held at this time. Burial will be at a later date at Oakland Chapel Cemetery in Lawrence County, Ohio.
