Cleon McGlothlin Obituary
Cleon Burdell McGlothlin, age 73 of Marion, passed away on Monday, July 2, 2018 at Community Nursing Home. On April 17, 1945, he was born to the late Lewis and Lledo (Russell) McGlothlin in Morral, Ohio, and on April 24, 1971, he married his wife Doyle Irene (Gerhart) McGlothlin.
Cleon worked as a warehouseman for Advance Auto Parts for 10 years, and he was an avid collector of trains. He also enjoyed racing, especially NASCAR.
He is survived by his wife Doyle Irene of Marion; his sons Trevinal (Kelli) McGlothlin of Marion and Terrill (Cotton) McGlothlin of Roy, Utah; his daughter Tiffany (Paul) Wagner of Westerville, Ohio; his brother Leo McGlothlin of Marion; his sister Darlene Goad of Marion; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents Lewis and Lledo, his brothers Bill and Ernie McGlothlin, and his sister Dolly Cardenas.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday, July 8, 2018 from 4 PM to 7 PM at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home. Services will take place on Monday, July 9, 2018 at 11 AM at the Prospect Street United Methodist Church with Pastor Thérèse Lehman officiating. Burial will follow at Grand Prairie Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wesley Scholarship Fund through the Prospect Street United Methodist Church or to Heartland Hospice.
