Eddie Curren Jr. age 88 of Marion, Ohio passed away Saturday, July 30, 2016 at Kindred Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
Eddie was born May 17, 1928 in Westfield, Ohio to the late Eddie and Josie (Worline) Curren.
In 1951 he married Phyllis I. (Iler) Curren; she preceded him in death on March 10, 2012.
Eddie was a truck driver for Marion Power Shovel for 43 years; he was a member of Oakland United Methodist Church, the Ohio Wagon Train Association and Quarter Horse Association.
He is survived by his son, Steve Curren of Marion, Oh., step-son, Lanny Phelps of Marion, Oh., step-daughter, Linda (Bob) Lloyd of Canton, Oh., six grandchildren, Dean (Traci) Allard, Daniel (Megan) Allard, Eddie (Valerie) Curren, Stephanie (Mike) Repar, Jeff Agnes, Robin Agnes, numerous great grandchildren and his sister, Ilobell Deisch of Galion, Oh.
Eddie was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, daughter in law, Sheila Curren, two brothers, Kenneth, Forest and his two sisters, Flossy Mae and Mary Ruth.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 2, 2016 from 6-8 PM at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be 11 AM Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at the funeral home with. Burial will follow at Glendale-Union Cemetery in Cardington, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to Oakland United Methodist Church.
