Fredrick J. "Fred" Wilson age 69 of Marion, Ohio passed away Saturday, April 9, 2016 at Marion General Hospital.
Fred was born December 9, 1946 in Marion, Ohio to the late Leonard and Isabell (Christian) Wilson.
On august 14, 1971 he married Inarene (Hampton) Wilson, she preceded him in death on January 10, 2003.
He was a U.S. Army Veteran, employed at Whirlpool Corporation for 21 years and in his off time enjoyed Marion Merchants Baseball.
Fred is survived by his daughters, Terri (Gene) Price of Marion, Melissa (Miles) Hughes of Marion and his son, Fredrick (Whitney) Wilson II of Marion, five grandchildren, Mareesa (Sam) Frank, Lindsee (Roger) Janson, Sarah Tanner, Zach Wilson, Alisha Hughes, four great grandchildren, Mason, Conner, Layla and Rebel, two sisters, Betty (Gary) Mitchell of Marion, Helen Huggins of Marion, two brothers, Robert (Maryann) Wilson of Jackson, MS., Jess (Cindy) Wilson of Marion and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Dale Wilson and Dave Wilson, and his sister, Rosemary Wilson.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 12, 2016 from 5 - 8 PM at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be Wednesday, April 13, 2016 @ 10:30 AM at the funeral home with Rev. Jerry Copley officiating. Burial will follow at Chapel Heights Memory Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to Marion Merchants Baseball in care of Boyd-Born Funeral Home.
