Goldie Cline Obituary

Goldie Marie Cline, age 86, of Marion passed away on Wednesday, October 19, 2016, at 6:05 AM in the Brookdale Senior Living Facility. She was born on September 28, 1930 in Marion County to the late Albert Charley and Hazel Mae (Shaw) Miley. Goldie graduated from Waldo High School in 1948, worked on the family farm after graduation and for the past 40 years has been a resident of the Pearl Street community where she has made many friends. She loved to garden and for many years was a self-employed housekeeper for several families in Marion. Goldie is survived by a son; Robert Dale (Noelle) Cline II of Marion, OH., A brother; Clifford "Pete" Miley of Cardington, OH. four sisters; Mildred Wallace of Cardington, OH., Esther Tolle of Marion, OH., Pauline Conant of Mt.Gilead, OH., & Betty Miley of Edison, OH., along with many nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by two grandsons; Robert Nathaniel & Carson Matthew Cline and a sister; Helen Pierce. During her stay at Brookdale the staff and residents became her extended family whom she truly cared for. Calling hours will be held in the Boyd-Born Funeral Home on Sunday, October 23, 2016, from 2:00 - 5:00 PM. Pastor Greg Lyons will conduct the funeral service on Monday, October 24th, at 11:00 AM in the funeral home with burial to follow in the Windfall Cemetery. Donations in Goldie's name may be made to the Activities Dept. of Brookdale Senior Living c/o John Holsinger. The Cline family would like to express their deepest thankfulness to the staff of Brookdale Assisted Living Facility in Marion who lovingly cared for Goldie and truly became members of the family. They would also like to acknowledge the outstanding staff at Heartland Hospice for their caring and supportive presence during the final days of Goldie's life.
