Jeffrey Schenkel Obituary
Jeffrey Alan Schenkel, age 59 of Galloway, passed away on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at his residence. On June 14, 1958, he was born to the late Raynald G. Schenkel and Judith A. (Resh) Jerome, who still survives in Galloway.
Jeffrey worked as a mill operator at Nucor Steel for 20 years. He was a member of the Wyandot Coon Hunters Club, and he loved hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed hiking, chess, and traveling. He was always on the road somewhere.
He is survived by his mother Judith A. Jerome of Galloway; his children Darren J. Schenkel of Daytona, Florida, Ronald J. (Nicole) Wolf of Marion, Kasey M. (Dan) Pesek of Frankfort, Illinois, and Cyle B. Schenkel of Marion; four grandchildren; his half-siblings Scott Jerome of Columbus, Melanie (Tony) Davis of Chesterville, Lisa (David) Esterer of Powell, and Lori (Dennis) Moore of Galloway; his step-siblings Glen (Linda) Jerome, Jr., James Jerome, and Kathy (Mike) Schertzer of Marion; and his best friends John "Johnny O" Olsen and Bob Howell.
He was preceded in death by his father Raynald G. Schenkel, his step-father Glen Jerome, and his half-sister Valerie Melvin.
No services will be held at this time.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family.
