Sandra "Sandie" K. Long

Sandra “Sandie” K. Long, age 82 of Marion, passed away on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

Sandie was born on November 23, 1941 to the late Samuel and Blanche (Darby) Branum in Marion, Ohio.

She was a registered nurse for the Smith Clinic and Marion General Hospital. She had a recipe collection because she loved to cook, bake and “throw it down” in the kitchen. Sandie also enjoyed knitting.   She will truly be missed by family and friends.

Sandie was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Craig Branum.

Those who will cherish her memories include her children: Cindy Hall of Marion, Ohio, Terri Young of Ocala, Florida and Rick (Cindy) Long, Jr. of Ocala, Florida; her brother, David (Cindy) Branum of Idaho; her eight grandchildren; her eleven great grandchildren and a niece and two nephews.

Friends and family may come to honor Sandie’s life from 11am to 1pm on Saturday, April 6, 2024 at Boyd Funeral Home.  A funeral service will follow starting at 1pm at the funeral home with Pastor Tom Hypes officiating.  Any donations may be given in Sandie’s memory to: The Shepherd’s Fellowship, 1647 Marion-Marysville Road, Marion, Ohio 43302.  The Boyd Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Long family.
