Roerena “Rena” Ann Keckler, 56, of Marion, OH, passed away at the Marion General Hospital on November 20, 2022. Rena’s story begins in Columbus, OH on May 16, 1966, where her late parents, Charles Frederick Casto and Barbara Ann Blevins, would welcome her into the world. Her husband, Tag Robert Keckler, would join her side in marriage in Marion, OH, on July 2, 2016.
Rena was a giver and loved to help everyone she met. She was a home health aid for over 30 years, working at MRDD (Rham). When she wasn’t working, she made time for her family. Her 16 grandchildren were her life. In her free time, she was often seen behind a microphone singing karaoke songs. One of her favorites was, “Wind Beneath My Wings”.
Rena is preceded in death by her parents, brother; Lonnie Neil Edler, Jr., stepdaughter; Laurica Keckler, and her grandson; Lee'lynd Foggin.
She is survived by her husband, sons; Zackary (Dorothy) Smith, Charles (Sierra) Smith, and Jermaine (Lindsey) Thomas, all of Marion, OH, daughters; Sarah Foggin, and Emma (Tylor) Marocco, all of Marion, OH, brothers; Marshall (Terrie) Casto, of Marion, OH, Charles Casto, of Marion, OH, and Richard (Rachael) Casto, of Cardington, OH, and her grandchildren; Kyia, Karsin, Ahnikkah, Ariah, Charles, Gannon, Maddisyn, Daylyn, Remington, Blakelyn, Brooklyn, Camdon, Zackary, Jermaine Thomas, II, and Shilynn.
Rena’s family would like to invite all of her loved ones and friends to join them for visitation hours at the Boyd Funeral Home on November 25, 2022, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the Boyd Funeral Home, on Saturday, November 26, 2022, at 11 a.m. There will be an internment service immediately after the funeral service at the Oak Wood Cemetery in Bucyrus, OH. Pastor Russell Howard will be officiating all services. The Boyd Funeral Home is honored to be assisting the Keckler family in their time of need.
