Barbara Jane Delauder

Barbara Jane Delauder, age 61, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on May 14, 2019 surrounded by her family and friends after a short battle with cancer. She was born on July 14, 1957 to the late Minnie Compton and Vencil Medley I. She married the love of her life David Allen Delauder Sr. on September 17, 1974. He preceded her in death.

Barbara had worked as a housekeeper at Comfort Inn for a few years and worked at Graphic Packaging and Silverline for many years. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends the most and no one was a stranger to her. Once she met you she embraced you with open arms until you crossed her. Her feistiness was seen and heard almost up to her final hours.

She is survived by 4 sons: David Delauder Jr., Jason (Danielle) Delauder, and Robert Delauder, all of Marion, and Brian Clarke of Georgia; 10 grandchildren: Liam, Bella, Riley, Luke, Kayne, Draven, Alexia, Natayla, Carson, and Darian; 1 sister: Sharon Hunt of Marion; 2 brothers: Bob (Betty Jo) Medley of Marion and Vencil (Deb) Medley II of Green Camp; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins that loved her very much. Barbara was preceded in death by 2 grandchildren, Sabastian and Abigail Delauder.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, June 2, 2019 starting at 1pm at the Olde Corner Church, 287 South State Street, Marion, Ohio.  The church is on the corner of Columbia and State Street.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family to assist with funeral expenses.
