Beulah M. Kline, age 89 of Marion, passed away on Sunday, June 2, 2019 at Genesis Healthcare Presidential Center with her son Rocky and her daughter Dee at her side. On March 14, 1930, she was born to the late Raymond and Lena (Maser) Hesson in Prospect, Ohio, and on May 7, 1946, she married her late husband Harry L. Kline, Jr., in Greenup, Kentucky.
Beulah was a dedicated mother who always put her children first, and they fondly remember how she made every holiday special for them while they were growing up. She also took very good care of her beloved dog, Lady. She loved cooking, and she was known for her homemade potato salad and macaroni salad, as well as the best lasagna a person could ever have.
She enjoyed reading and word search puzzles, and she had a passion for lilacs and zinnias. Cardinals were her favorite bird, and she loved listening to them sing in the morning. She also enjoyed her favorite morning TV shows, Let’s Make a Deal and The Price is Right.
She is survived by her sons Russell (Marilyn) Kline, Harry Kline III, Rocky Kline, and Tim Kline; her daughters Kathleen Hardesty and Daneen “Dee” Saunders; 9 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; and her special friend Ellen Davis.
She was preceded in death by her husband Harry Kline, her daughter Linda “Sue” Van Vlerah, 2 brothers, 3 sisters, and 2 great-grandchildren.
Friends and family may gather to honor her memory on Wednesday, June 5, 2019 from 10 am to 11 am at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home. A graveside service will take place on Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at 11:30 am at Grand Prairie Cemetery with burial to follow.
