Bruce William Tackett

Bruce William Tackett, age 72 of Cardington, OH, passed away on Tuesday, December 3, 2019 at the Marion General Hospital.

Bruce entered into this world on October 27, 1947 to the late William and Lois (Grubaugh) Tackett in Ada, Ohio.  On February 4, 1967, he married Carolyn Barry in Ada, Ohio.

Bruce enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening.  He liked watching the Browns and the Ohio State University Buckeyes.  Bruce loved spending time with his grandkids.  He will truly be missed by his family and friends.

Bruce was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter: Susan Young; his two great granddaughters and his great grandson.

Those who will cherish his memories include his wife: Carolyn Tackett of Cardington, OH; his daughters: Rhonda Tackett of Marion, OH, Tonya (Jeff) Duddek of Colorado and Debbie (Dale) Timmons of Port Clinton, OH; his brother: John Tackett of Lima, OH; his sisters: Sandy of Pueblo, CO and Carol Tackett of Denver, CO; his grandchildren: Jeffrey Duddek, Emiliee Duddek, Rebecca Young, Stephanie Saade, Chet Young, Steven Young, Erica (Rob) Hill, Blake Cametti, Angel (Derrick) Alban; and his great grandchildren: Damien Hill, Jayden Hill, Corbin Hill and seven more great grandchildren.

Friends and family may come to honor Bruce’s life on Tuesday, December 10, 2019 from 12pm to 1pm at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home.  A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 10, 2019 starting at 1pm at the funeral home with Pastor Brett Gleespen officiating.  A burial will follow service at the Caledonia Cemetery.  Donations may be given in Bruce’s memory to the Boyd-Born Funeral Home to assist in funeral expenses or to True Life Church, 374 North Main Street, Marion, Ohio 43302
