Dean Lowe Obituary

Dean Alan Lowe, 61, of Edison lost his courageous battle with cancer after 8 long years on Friday, August 2, 2019.  He passed peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones.

Dean was born to Eugene and Yvonne Lowe, April 3, 1958 in Ironton, OH.

Dean had many passions which included history, baseball, classic cars, music, woodworking and fishing – but not in that particular order.  To say Dean was a die-hard Reds fan would be an understatement.  Many friends and family had the privilege of touring his museum of well over 600 bobbleheads and other Reds memorabilia.

He had a talent to excel in anything that interested him and was willing to share his knowledge and wisdom with anyone who’d listen.  The greatest example of this would be the many years he spent coaching youth baseball and imparting his expertise.

He was employed at Whirlpool for 38 years as a pressman and later transitioned into maintenance.

Those who will cherish his memory include his mother Yvonne Miles; daughter Brandy (Joshua) Edwards; Kindred Spirit Linda Hoffman; 3 sons – Michael (Hallie) Lowe; Glenn (Carrie) Lowe; Tyger Lowe; 2 brothers – Max Lowe, Dwight (Michelle) Lowe; Nieces, Nephews and 15 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father Eugene Tunney Lowe.

Dean will be interred at Woodland Cemetery in Ironton, OH, finally going home.  A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 9, 2019 at 1:30pm at Woodland Cemetery, 824 Lorain Street, Ironton, OH 45638.
