Deborah L. Silvis

Deborah L Silvis of Mansfield, age 51, passed away from this earth to join her love, Brent Silvis in heaven. Deborah was born at an Air Force Base in Misawa, Japan on January 10, 1968 to Linda L. Samson. She went to school in Tennessee at Daniel Boone High School. She married Brent Silvis in July of 2012, who preceded her in death. Many knew Deborah from her last employment before becoming disabled due to health reasons from the Duke and Duchess Shoppe at Ontario, OH, where she worked retail for 2 plus years. She was truly known for her love of dogs, and other fur-babies—she LOVED her Pugs. Her family remembers her being a die-hard Pittsburgh Steelers fan, although she lived many years in OH and in the south. She had a fascination with Native American Culture and would collect trinkets of such. She also loved NASCAR, being a huge fan of the Earnhardts’.

Deborah’s memories will be cherished by her mother Linda, her son Allen (Jess) Mitchell of Mansfield, OH; her brothers Robert (Jess) Hopkins of Chillicothe, OH, and Mike Marshall of Frazeysburg; her sister Anne (Larry) Linn of Mansfield, OH; her step-son Logan Silvis; her mother and father-in-law Ron and Kathy Silvis; her sister-in-law Sam Silvis; 6 grandchildren; and many beloved nieces and nephews as though they were her own children and cared for them all growing up; as well as her son’s father Jason.

She was preceded in death by her father, her husband Brent Silvis, her stepson Vincent Silvis, and her grandparents Nana and “Daddy Sam” Samson.

Respecting Deborah’s wishes, she shall be cremated. The family asks all to come for calling hours to celebrate her life on Monday, June 10, 2019, at Boyd-Born Funeral Home of Marion from 5 PM to 8 PM. A service will follow at 8 PM at the funeral home with Rev. Nathan McBeth presiding. The burial of ashes in Pennsylvania will be determined at a future date, where she will join Brent.
