Jeffrey Layne

     Jeffery L. Layne, age 58, formerly of Marion, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, October 27, 2019 in the University Hospital Cleveland Medical Center at 6:14 AM. He was born in Marion, Ohio on April 13, 1961 to Clarence and JoAnn (Endicott) Layne. His mother preceded him in death and his father survives in Marion. Jeff is also survived by two daughters; Jodi Lauren Layne and Jamie Layne both of Greenup, KY., a brother; Michael Layne of Cardington, OH., and 2 nieces; Brittany Conley of Marion, OH. & Taylor Layne of Cardington, OH. He was preceded in death by his grandparents; Rev. Ellis & Mary Layne.

     Jeff attended the White Oaks Road Freewill Baptist Church. He was employed for 20 years as a crane operator for the Marion Steel Co. before his retirement.

     Rev. Danny Dickerson will conduct a memorial service on Saturday, November 2, 2019, at 2:00 PM in the Boyd-Born Funeral Home. No calling hours will be observed, and burial will take place at a later date.
