Richard Norman Peterman

Richard Norman Peterman, age 90 of Marion, passed away on Sunday, June 30, 2019 at the Marion General Hospital.

Richard entered into this world on February 26, 1929 to the late Guy and Myrtle (Dutton) Peterman.  On May 26, 1956, he married Doris Gorenflo in Marion, OH.

Richard graduated from the Harding High School class of 1948.  He served our country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.  He belonged to the LaRue Masonic Lodge #465 and the American Legion Post #584.  He worked for 18 years at BF Goodrich as a quality control inspector. He will truly be missed by family and friends.

Richard is preceded in death by his parents and his brother: Virgil “Bud” Peterman.

Those who will cherish his memory include his wife of 63 years: Doris Peterman of Marion, OH; his daughters: Deb (Kerry) Steinberger of Marion, OH and Pam (Ken) Hall of Marion, OH; his grandchildren: Megan (Jared) Moore, Lindsey (Luke) Moren, Amy Steinberger and Katie Steinberger; his great grandchildren: Kyden, Kaya, Grady and Nolan; and nieces and nephews.

Friends and family may come to honor Richard’s life on Saturday, July 6, 2019 from 11am to 12pm at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home.  A graveside service will be held on Saturday, July 6, 2019 at 12:45pm at the Chapel Heights Memory Gardens.  Online condolences may be expressed to the family at: www.boydbornfuneralhome.com.
