Rocky J. Bradford

Rocky J. Bradford, Sr., age 62 of Marion, passed away unexpectedly on September 26, 2019 at Marion General Hospital.

Rocky entered this world on April 20, 1957 to the late Garrett and Joyce (Peters) Bradford, Sr. in Rock Creek, WVA.  On November 3, 1988, he married the love of his life Wanda J. Bradford. They were happily married for 27 years. Which he preceded her in death.

He served our country in the United States Army. Rocky enjoyed working on different arts and crafts, playing pool at Whitey’s, and most importantly his passion and love, besides his family, was fishing. He was a sour patch kid. He was stubborn but sweet at the same time and if you knew Rocky, you knew how he was. There will never be another person in this world like him. The world has really lost a wonderful great man but he will always be in remembrance by all his stories and laughs Rocky told. He truly cherished and loved everyone he met and would give his shirt off his back to any stranger. That was just Rocky. So farewell, Rocky J. Bradford Sr he will truly be missed by family and friends.

Rocky was preceded in death by his parents, his wife: Wanda Bradford, his daughter: Patsy Bradford; and his brothers: Jack Acord and Gordon Acord.

Those who will cherish his memories include: his children: Rocky P. Bradford, Jr. Susan (Shannon Williams) Bradford, Abby Workman and Toney Risner; his brothers: Garrett (Toni) Bradford, Jr. and George (Tonya) Bradford; his sisters: Bonnie Sue (Mason) Grim, Brenda (Bill) Klever and Cassey Yoder; his grandchildren: Dalton, Deakon, Jayden, Jazzilyn, Zanobia, Chloe, Eyan, Patty, Kylie, Danny, Cheyanne and Cassie and lots of great grandchildren.

One of Rocky’s quotes he would always say would be….” It’s not how deep you fish, but it’s the way your worm wiggles.”

Rocky will be buried in the family cemetery in Rock Creek, WVA.
