Marion - Frieda Fay Johnson, 78, died peacefully Monday after suffering complications from a urinary tract infection. Very much loved, she will be missed. Eldest of seven children: Paul, Raymond, Barbara, John(dec), Harry, David, born at home near Ironton, OH, to Frank Eugene Thompson (May 22, 1919-Feb 3, 1992), Oldtown, KY, son of Lewis Thompson and Rosa Prince Thompson) and Frances (Frankie) Fraley Thompson Ross (Mar 21, 1918-Nov 7, 2001), Wrigley, KY, daughter of James Harrison Fraley and Bertha Johnson Fraley). Survived by husband of 58 years Robert (Bob) Arthur Johnson; their three sons: Eric Robert (Teresa Huggins), Raymond Keith (James Muldoon), and Randy Lee; grandchildren James, Jeff, Shandi, Brian and Elizabeth; great grandchildren Brittany, Makayla, Bailey, Macie, Cayley, Blaine and Ethan.
Frieda and family moved to Marion at age 16. She and Bob lived at Brush Ridge and Little Sandusky, and was long active in church. She loved to paint, write poetry and to sing hymns/gospel songs.
Friends/family may call at Boyd-Born Funeral Home, Marion, from 5:00-7:00 pm on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 and at Grand Prairie Baptist Church in Brush Ridge (4893 Marion-Upper Sandusky Rd) at 9:00 am on Thursday, January 10, 2019. Funeral follows at 11:00 am, then interment at Grand Prairie Cemetery.
