Ilah Butler Obituary
Ilah A. Butler, age 93 of Marion, passed away on Sunday, October 28, 2018 at the Presidential Center.
Ilah entered into this world on May 14, 1925 to the late Dana and Alice (Haning) Welch in Harrisonville, OH. On May 4, 1945, she married the late Charles R. Butler, Jr. in Marion, OH.
Ilah worked with BF Goodrich for 5 years and 9 years at the Marion General Hospital. She was a housewife taking care of two children. She did a lot of sewing for different people. She loved to bake, go camping, raising roses and flowers. She will be missed by family and friends.
Ilah is preceded in death by her parents, her husband: Charles R. Butler, Jr; her daughter; her brothers: Everett and Herman Welch; and her sister: Evelyn Brickles.
Family who will cherish memories of her are her children: Linda Kellogg of Marion, OH and Lonnie Butler of Marion, OH; her brothers: Gary Welch of Pageville, OH and Ronnie (Judy) Welch of Canal Winchester, OH; her grandchildren: Lonnie Butler, Joe Butler, Todd Kellogg, Matt Kellogg and Tammy O'Connell; her ten great grandchildren; her sister-in-law: Pat Barr; and several of her nieces and nephews.
Friends and family may come to honor Ilah's life on Thursday, November 1, 2018 from 5pm-8pm at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 2, 2018 starting at 10:30am at the funeral home. Burial will follow service at the Marion Cemetery. Donations may be made to the American Heart Association in Ilah's memory.
