Junior Rosevelt Tyree

Junior "Rosevelt" Tyree, age 83, of Marion passed away on Sunday, November 25, 2018, at 5:10 PM in the Heartland of Marion. He was born in Whitesburg, Kentucky on May 15, 1935 to the late John Henry and Melda (Collins) Tyree. On May 28, 1956 Junior married the former Clara R. McIntosh in Virginia and she preceded him in death on May 11, 2017 in Marion. He served in the U.S.Army and was a past member of the American Legion. Junior was employed for over 40 years with the Whirlpool Corp. as a die setter, retiring in 2002 and receiving the Lifetime Associate Award. He is survived by a daughter; Susan (Doug) Hall of New Bloomington, OH., two brothers; Jack (Anne) Tyree of Marion, OH. & Mike (Debbie) Tyree of Kentucky, three sisters; Judy Fisher of Michigan, Thelma Caudill & Kathy Green both of Marion, OH., six grandchildren; Cody, Doug A., & Clay Hall, Sarah Littleton, Matt & Jesse Tyree, and nine great grandchildren; Savannah, Branson, Kennedy, Sage, Bowen, Sydney, Barrett, Bailey, & Haven. Junior was preceded in death by his parents, wife; Clara, a son; Mark Tyree, two grandsons; a brother; Clarence Tyree, and three sisters; Marietta Robinson, Helen Tyree, & Stella Mae Tyree. Friends may call at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home on Thursday, November 29, 2018, from 11:30 AM until service time at 1:00 PM. Rev. Danny Dickerson will officiate and burial will follow in the Marion Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Disease Association.
