Marjorie Holman Obituary
Marjorie Emogene Holman, age 86 of Marion, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at her home surrounded by her loving family. On February 24, 1932, she was born to the late Charles and Edith (Thacker) Price, and on March 3, 1951, she married her late husband Virgil Holman.
Marjorie was a member of the Pentecostal Believers in Christ Church. She was a QVC Queen who adored shopping of all kinds, and she loved flowers and gardening as well as traveling. She loved being with her family, especially during their Fourth of July barbeques, and above all else, she loved her children.
She is survived by her daughters Cynthia Harper, Carol (Mark) Kinney, and Phyllis Reynolds; her sons Glenn Holman, Perry Holman, and Vernon Holman; her sisters Reca Patrick and Clara Sheese-Latham; her sister-in-law Leefee Sybert; and several grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Virgil, her parents Charles and Edith Price, her son Kenny Holman, her sisters Mary Lou Large and Louise Sullivan, her brothers John Patrick Price, Billy Price, and Adrian Price, her grandsons Emmett Kinney and Donavan Harper, and her granddaughters Bambi Lynn Holman and Destiny Lynn Kinney.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, August 10, 2018 from 6 PM to 8 PM at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home and on Saturday, August 11, 2018 from 11 AM to 12 PM at the Pentecostal Believers in Christ Church, 347 N. Main St., Marion. Services will take place on Saturday, August 11, 2018 at 12 PM at the Pentecostal Believers in Christ Church. Burial will follow at Grand Prairie Cemetery.
