Maxine Cochrun Obituary

Maxine Cochrun, age 97 of Morral, passed away on Friday, February 1, 2019 at Marion General Hospital. On September 18, 1921, she was born to the late Herman and Tura (Brackney) Reinhart, and she was raised by Lloyd and Sarah Williams. On April 4, 1942, she married her late husband James Loren Cochrun.
Maxine graduated from Morral High School in 1939, and she volunteered at Med Center Hospital for several years. She was a member of the Morral United Methodist Church, where she was also part of the WSCS. She enjoyed baking, and she worked for the US Postal Service for 25 years in Morral and served as post master for 9 of those years, retiring in 1985.
She is survived by her daughters Linda (John) McMahan of Marion, Susan (Lynn) Lovell of Marion, and Jenny Endicott of Upper Sandusky; her grandchildren Brian (Kathy) Lovell, Amy Bergstrom, Erin Iles, Courtney Lucas, Adam (Kelly) McMahan, Scott (Tara) McMahan, and Megan (Jonathan) Friedley; and thirteen great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband James Cochrun, her son Jim T. Cochrun, and her brothers Kenneth and Donald Williams.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 from 11 am to 1 pm at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home. Services will take place at 1 pm at the funeral home with Chaplain Ann Paran officiating. Burial will follow at Grand Prairie Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund or Morral United Methodist Church.
