Nona Mobley Obituary
Nona Mobley, age 86 of Marion, passed away on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at Marion General Hospital. On November 27, 1931, she was born to the late Joe and Esta (Evans) Whitt in Hurricane, West Virginia, and on July 23, 1949, she married her husband Lewis E. Mobley, Sr., in Catlettsburg, Kentucky.
Nona was a member of the Salem Church of God and a lifetime homemaker.
She is survived by her son Lewis "Lew" (Cindy) Mobley, Jr., of Marion; her daughters June (Loyd) Clark of New Bloomington and Pamelia (Tim) Bice of Danville, Ohio; her sister Martha Waters of Hurricane, West Virginia; her six grandchildren Matt (Kristin) Mobley, Marc Mobley, Megan Bice, Lewis Clark, Anna Clark, and Steve Clark; her six great-grandchildren; and her seven great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Lewis E. Mobley, Sr., her parents Joe and Esta Whitt, and her siblings John Whitt, Nanny Holley, Richard Whitt, Sinda Henson, Rueben Whitt, Mary Hamon, Bill Whitt, Jack Whitt, Hope Whitt, Alberta Call, and Luke Whitt.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, October 22, 2018 from 4 pm to 7 pm at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home. Services will take place on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at 1 pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Green Camp Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Ohio Health Hospice.
