Pauline Leeper Obituary

Pauline "Pod, Pickles, Plinky, Lonnie" Leeper, age 80 of Marion, passed away on Thursday, March 8, 2018 in Florida. On October 13, 1937, Pauline was born in Hetzel, W.VA, to the late Ora Copley and Riley Jessie. She was the Oldest daughter. A Coal Miner's daughter she married her husband Charles E. "Tater" Leeper on October 22, 1955, he was a handsome soldier who was on his way to a reserve meeting when he met her in Marion. Together they shared 61 years together. He preceded her in death on May 1, 2017.
She is survived by her son Charles (Toye) Leeper of Marion; her daughters Nanette (Victor Rosado) Hale of Port Richie, Florida, and Jackie (Tim) Sutton of Marion; her brother Willis (Ann) Jessie of West Virginia; her sister Lillian (David) Gatshall of Prospect; nine grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren and her trusted companion- Chico. She was known as "Ma" to everyone that knew her, you never left her house hungry. She loved to cook for everyone, loved to play cards and go to yard sales. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her husband Charles, her parents Riley and Ora, and her brother Frank Jessie.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 from 4 PM to 7 PM at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home. Services will take place on Thursday, March 15, 2018 at 11 AM at the funeral home with Pastor Dwight Hord officiating. Burial will follow at Marion Cemetery.
