Ruby Heacock Obituary
Ruby Del Heacock, age 76 of Marion, passed away unexpectedly on an adventure with David in Alaska, Saturday June 9, 2018.
Ruby entered into this world on Oct 18, 1941, to the late Dallas and Katie (Hughes) Beam in Radnor, OH. She married David Heacock in Las Vegas NV, on June 10, 1961. They enjoyed renewing their vows at the same chapel 50 years later, amongst family and friends.
She was co-owner of Ruby and Sandi's Hair and Nail Salon for more than 15 years with her good friend Sandi Conley.
Ruby was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She always put others before herself. She loved life and adventure. A little girl from Cardington she traveled the world with family and friends. She wasn't afraid to try new things or go to new places. She never met anyone that was a stranger. She will truly be missed by so many.
Ruby was preceded in death by her parents; her sister: Shirley Wheatcraft; and her brothers: Dallas "Bud" Beam, Paul Beam, and Willard Beam, and her grandson: David "little Davy" Gallant
Ruby will be missed by her husband of 57 years: David Heacock; her daughters: Melissa (Tim) Pratt of Houston, TX and Della (Donald) Mccurdy of Marion, OH; her son: David (Colleen) Heacock of Fayetteville, N.C.; her sisters: Irene Brown of Marion, OH and Betty Thacker of Marion, OH.; her brother: Willis "Red" Beam of Marion, OH; her three grandchildren: Nichole Gallant, Hannah and Audrey Heacock, and three great grandchildren.
Friends and Family may come to honor Ruby's life on Monday June 18, 2018 starting at 6pm to 8pm at the Marion Bible Fellowship, 590 Forest Lawn Drive Marion, OH 43302. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday June 19, 2018 starting at 1pm at the Marion Bible Fellowship. Burial will follow service at the Grand Prairie Cemetery. A gathering will follow the burial service at Kensington Church of the Nazarene, 369 Kensington Pl, Marion, OH 43302.
