Alice Jean McDaniel

Alice Jean McDaniel, age 93 of Richwood, passed away on Friday, January 15, 2021 at her residence.

Alice was born on February 12, 1927 to the late Stanton and Ida Francis (Garver) Swihart, Sr. in Marion, Ohio.  On September 3, 1947 in Kentucky, she married the late Eugene Conrad McDaniel and spent 69 wonderful years together.

Alice retired as a Nurse’s Aid from the Wyandot Memorial Hospital after serving more than 10 years.  Alice loved to crochet and knit but her favorite adventure was having her husband take her to different casinos.  She will truly be missed by her family and friends.

Alice was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 69 years: Eugene Conrad McDaniel; her grandchild; and her sister: Betty Welch.

Those who will cherish her memories include her children: Sandra (Robert) Heighland, Barbara (Michael) McIntire, David (Ruth) McDaniel, Rita (Ronnie) Crego, Douglas (Lee Ann) McDaniel and Charles (Sarah) McDaniel; her brother: Stanton (Deanna) Swihart, Jr.; her thirteen grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
