Austin James Hopper

Austin James Hopper, age 26 of Marion, gained his wings on November 15, 2023.

Austin was born on August 31, 1997 to James and Shalynne (Miller) Hopper in Huntsville, Alabama.

Austin loved life, he loved and enjoyed being with his family. He had the biggest kindest heart, he was a caring young man that cherished everyone.  He loved to fish, jet ski, have bonfires and cookouts with his family.  He truly loved his niece and nephews like they were his own. He loved being a proud dad to Hayden Keith James Hopper.  He will be missed dearly by so many.

Those who will cherish his memories include his parents: James and Shalynne Hopper; his son, Hayden Keith James Hopper; his brothers: Tyler and Ian Hopper; his sister, Shaylee Hopper; and his nephews Kaden Hopper, Elijah Slone, Owen Slone, and his niece Katherine Hopper; Grandparents: Ronald and Susan Miller; and Grandmother Beverly Hopper; his Uncle Joshua Miller; his Aunt Lynnell (Zach) Draper; his Aunt Beth (Ralph) Avalon and Uncle Michael  Hopper; numerous cousins and extended family. He was preceded in death by his Grandfather James Hopper I.

Friends and family may come to honor Austin’s life from 11am to 1pm on Friday, November 24, 2023 at Boyd Funeral Home.  A funeral service will follow starting at 1pm on Friday, November 24, 2023 at the funeral home.  A burial will follow the service at Marion Cemetery.  Donations may be given in care of the Boyd Funeral Home for funeral expenses.  The Boyd Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Hopper family
