Betty Jean Schreck

Betty Jean Schreck, age 89 of Marion, passed away on Friday, November 13, 2020 at Wyandot County Skilled Nursing and Rehab Center.

Betty was born in Marion to the late Roy and LaVaun (Parish) Cooper on March 9, 1931.  On March 30, 1948, she married Robert Schreck, her husband of 61 years.

Betty retired as a seamstress at Peerless Cleaners of 20 years.  She was a member of the Salem Church of God, served as a pianist, Sunday School teacher, at one time President of the Missionary Society and leader of the Girls Junior Missionary Society.  She was known as the family seamstress.  Betty will truly be missed by family and friends.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, her husband: Robert Schreck, her daughters: Barbara Jean Schreck and Vickie Williams.

Those who will cherish her memories include her four sons: Timothy (Barbara) Schreck of Michigan, Thomas (Teresa) Schreck of Marion, OH, Paul (Robin) Schreck of Marion, OH and Robert (Margie) Schreck, Jr. of Marion, OH; her son-in-law: Michael Williams of Marion, OH; her 15 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, November 19, 2020 starting at 11am at the Frame (Meeker) Cemetery with Pastor Willis Moe officiating. The family requested for those who will attend to meet at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home parking lot by 10:15am on Thursday, November 19, 2020.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Salem Church of God, 5754 Decliff Big Island Drive, Marion, Ohio 43302.  The Boyd-Born Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Schreck family.
