Cayson Nickolas Gibson, age 5 of Cardington, was called to his forever Home on Wednesday, August 19th, 2020.
Cayson was born on January 3rd, 2015 to his loving parents Chelsea Williams and Trevor Gibson at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.
Cayson was the brightest light in each and every one of our lives in the five and a half years we were blessed to have with him. He had so much energy that you would think he had candy, cake and ice cream for every meal of every day, to which he would have loved. For those that knew him, knew his fixation with jumping up and down, relentlessly, for hours on end in front of the tv while watching his favorite shows, since the day he learned how to walk. He was nothing short of a water bug, arcade maniac, video game guru, stuffed animal lover (maybe even a hoarder), and YouTube enthusiast. He was the smartest five-year-old his family ever knew; he rarely needed guidance on how to do any particular thing and would blow you away with the knowledge and information he had. We have no doubt in our minds Cayson would’ve been class clown, just like his daddy; if he got you to laugh, he was bound and determined to continue to make you laugh. He had an immense amount of love for everyone in his life, especially for his mommy and daddy who were “the best in the whole entire city.” There is a hole in our hearts that only Cayson can fill, but loss is only temporary. We will see you again, Caysonator.
Cayson will be lovingly remembered by his mother: Chelsea Williams (Jacob Adams) of Cardington, OH; his father Trevor Gibson (Tyra) of Marion, OH; maternal grandparents Laura Buhler-Williams, Dane and Stephanie Williams Jr.; paternal grandparent Betty Gibson; Uncles Dane Williams III (Sophia Thompson); Billy Swartz (Tina), Cory Webb (Lauryn); Aunts Caitlin and Cailea Williams, Kayla Forry (Michael), Elaina, Macy and Lindsay Wooten; Kristy Schaber (Jason); Angel Carroll (Justin), Ashlea Klee (Dillon); and numerous other adoring great grandparents, great-great aunts and uncles, great aunts and uncles, cousins, and one great-great grandparent.
Friends and family may come to honor and memorialize Cayson’s life on Monday, August 24th, 2020 from 12pm to 1:30pm at the Marion Seventh Day Adventist Church, 540 Windsor Street, Marion, Ohio 43302. The funeral service will follow beginning at 1:30pm with Pastor Marcellus de Oliveira officiating. Burial will then follow the service at the Grand Prairie Cemetery. Donations may be given in care of the Boyd-Born Funeral Home to be given to the family.
