Clara Mae (Lowry) Cooperider

Clara M. Cooperider, age 92, passed away on October 16, 2020 at The DeWolfe Place living facility in Marion, Ohio.

Clara was born on December 27, 1927 to Clarence David (Toby) and Eva Irene Ayers Lowry who precedes her in passing.

On January 1, 1946, Clara was married to James W. Cooperider, who also precedes her in passing.

Also preceding her in death were siblings Martha Kearns, Mary Gorenflo, Richard Lowery and Evelyn Wixtead.

Clara worked outside the home in retail sales at J.C. Penny and Sears. She loved hand quilting and spent countless hours creating bed quilts for her family and playing cards with her special friends. he was legendary for her homemade noodles and her potato salad. She was a faithful member of The First Church of the Brethren.

Clara is survived by her sons James (Cathy) Cooperider and Gary (Amy) Cooperider, grandchildren, Christi (John) Spohn of Columbus, Jodi (Rich) Mulvaine of Marion, Andrea (John) Barrong of Cottage Grove, Oregon, Chad Cooperider of Marion, Erik Cranmer of Columbus and Philip Cranmer of Akron. She is also survived by great-grandchildren Emily K. Spohn, Alexis J. Mulvaine, Josh J. Mulvaine and Hank Barrong.

 A Graveside Service will be held Tuesday, October 20, 2020 at 1:45 PM at Marion Cemetery with Minister Rick Hicks officiating. Masks are being asked to be worn along with social distancing. Anyone interested in viewing the family service virtually may contact the family for further information.Memorial contributions may be made to Homeless to Home in care of the funeral home.
