Clarence "Mic" Layne

Clarence “Mic” Layne age 82 of Marion, Ohio passed away Friday, January 10, 2020 at Community Healthcare and Rehabilitation.

He was born December 24, 1937 in Marion, Ohio to the late Ellis and Mary (Moore) Layne.

In 1959 he married Joann (Endicott) Layne, she preceded him in death on July 31, 2018.

Mic was a member of White Oaks Road Baptist Church; he was employed at Tecumseh Products for 30 years be fore they shut down then he worked at British Petroleum for 20 years. On his off time, he loved being outdoors hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his son, Scott Layne of Cardington, four grandchildren, Brittany Conley, Taylor Layne, Jodi Lauren Layne and Jamie Layne and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by son, Jeffrey Layne and his sister, Gwen Layne.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 14, 2020 from 12pm to 1pm at Marion Enterprise Baptist Church, 130 Orton St. Marion, Ohio. Funeral services will follow at 1pm at the church with Pastor Jim McIntire and Pastor Danny Dickerson officiating. Burial will be at Grand Prairie Cemetery.
