Dale Eugene Hecker

Dale Eugene Hecker, age 79 of Lewis Center, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at Capri Gardens in Lewis Center, Ohio.

Dale was born on February 21, 1944 to the late Clifford and Bertha (Johnson) Hecker, Sr. in Marion, Ohio.  On August 13, 1966, he married Linda Sue Laven in Hamilton, Ohio.

Dale retired as a supervisor from Whirlpool Corporation after 32 years.  He belonged to the Lewis Center United Methodist Church. He had a fabulous sense of humor. Dale enjoyed his family, friends and golf. He will truly be missed by family and friends.

Dale was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and a brother.

Those who will cherish his memories include his wife of 56 years, Linda Sue Hecker of Lewis Center, Ohio; his daughters: Jennifer (Travis) Shepherd of Worthington, Ohio and Amy Hecker of Westerville, Ohio; his grandson, Tiernan Dale Shepherd; and his nieces and nephews.

Friends and family may come to honor Dale’s life from 2pm to 4pm on Friday, June 2, 2023 at Boyd Funeral Home.  A Celebration of Life service will follow starting at 4pm at the funeral home.   In lieu of flowers, donations may be given in Dale’s memory to: Lewis Center United Methodist Church, 1081 Lewis Center Rd, Lewis Center, OH 43035.  The Boyd Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Hecker family.
