Donald V. Reams

Donald Vernal Reams, age 71 of Marion, passed away on Tuesday, September 29, 2020 at his home. He was born on December 26, 1948 to the late Vernal Edward and Eleanor Anna (Phillips) Reams in Marion.

Don was the proud owner of Shirts N Stuff, and he was a hard worker. He enjoyed working on dune buggies, and he also enjoyed pigeons and his beloved dog Buddy. Don was the type of guy who never knew a stranger and loved talking to anyone and everyone. He was also known for his incredible singing voice, and his family fondly remembers how he sang “House of the Rising Sun.”

He is survived by his son Shawn Reams; his granddaughter Kayla L. Reams; his brother Bob Perez; his sister Cindy Skatzes; and his nieces and nephews Randee Perez, Shane Skatzes, and Samantha Mason.

He was preceded in death by his parents Vernal and Eleanor Reams, as well as his sister Karen Reams.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, October 2, 2020 from 4 pm to 6 pm at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home.
