Donna Jean Basinger

Donna Jean Basinger, age 66 of Marion, passed away on February 14, 2020 at the Marion General Hospital.

Donna was born on February 7, 1954 to the late Frank and Mary (Beavers) Hankins, Jr.  On July 4, 1990, she married Darrel Basinger in Waldo, Ohio.

Donna’s career was spent in healthcare, local shelters and helping adults/children with disabilities. She loved talking on the phone, camping with the family and keeping up with social media.  She will truly be missed by family and friends.

 Donna was preceded in death by her parents; her son: Toby Hankins; and her sister: Patsy Cline.

Those who will cherish her memories include her husband: Darrel Basinger of Marion, OH; her daughters: Munnette (Scott) Wolfe and Jaime Alicie; her sons: Shawn Minger, Corey (Chommy) Basinger and Tobey (Charity) Basinger; her sister: Tricia Peterson; her brother: John (Sharon) Hankins; her eighteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Friends and family may come to honor Donna’s life on Tuesday, February 18, 2020 from 5pm to 6:30pm at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home.  A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, February 18, 2020 starting at 6:30pm at the funeral home.
