Florence "Shirley" Baldauf

Florence “Shirley” Baldauf, age 89 of Marion, passed away on Friday, March 17, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. On July 19, 1933, she was born in Marion to the late Daniel and Florence (Robinson) Finley, and on May 15, 1955, she married her husband, Edwin Baldauf at Emanual Lutheran Church.

Shirley worked as a secretary for Eaton Manufacturing for 10 years, and she was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church. She was a Buckeye Backer for The Ohio State University Marion, and she was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. After her husband Edwin retired, they spent several years together in Florida. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband Edwin Baldauf; her sons Michael Baldauf and Tom (Teri) Baldauf; her daughter Debbie (Mike) Phillips; her grandchildren Aleah (Joe) Peters, Dominick (Audra) Chango, IV, Jeffrey (Kelly) Phillips, Paige (Jake) Nicol, Paityn (Chad) Webster, and Paivyn Baldauf; and her great-grandchildren Avery, Adalynn, Dominick, V, and Easton.

She was preceded in death by her parents Daniel and Florence, her brothers Frank and Jack Finley, and her sister Margaret Persinger.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 from 4 pm to 7 pm at the Boyd Funeral Home. Services will take place on Thursday, March 23, 2023 at 11 am at Emanuel Lutheran Church, 241 S. Prospect St., Marion. Burial will follow at Marion Cemetery.
