Gail Castle

Gail Castle, age 83 of Marion, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, August 4, 2020 at Marion General Hospital.  He was born February 11, 1937 to the late Elmer Ray and Magdaline (Lemasters) Castle in Thealka, Kentucky, and in 1977, he married his wife Beulah Faye Ward.
Gail Attended the Calvary Bible Baptist Church, and he worked at GTE/Verizon for 25 years.  He loved playing the guitar and singing, especially religious music, and he traveled around playing at nursing homes.  He was a poet and a writer, and he gave presentations at local schools.  He loved children and teaching Sunday school.
He is survived by his wife Beulah Faye Castle; his son Micah (Angie Marie) Castle and their children Sarah Marie Castle, Ethan Lane Castle, and Jack Evan Castle; his daughters Gayle Lynne Castle; and Cara Jo (Dave) Wonacutt and their children.
He was preceded in death by his parents Elmer and Magdaline, his brother Elmer Gervin Castle, and his sisters Sandra Jean (Castle) Janin and Phyllis Ann Castle.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, August 10, 2020 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Calvary Bible Baptist Church, 1419 Linn-Hipsher Rd., Marion, Ohio.  Services will take place at 12 p.m. at the church.  Burial will follow at the Caledonia Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions may be made in his honor to the Calvary Bible Baptist Church.
