Garrett Eugene Shane Smith, Sr., age 38 of Marion, passed away at Marion General Hospital on July 8, 2020. Garrett was born to Debora Riggs and the late Roger Smith. In 2002 he married Sarah Aldrich, and together they had 5 children. He loved his children, enjoyed cooking, and was known for his delicious peanut butter fudge. He was also a fan of Big Time Wrestling and watching movies.

Garrett was preceded in death by his father, and son, Andrew Smith. Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Debora; his wife, Sarah; sons, Garrett Elijah Dale Smith and Garrett Eugene Shane Smith, Jr., daughters, Arien Lanae Smith, Kayla Marie Smith, and Amy Lynn Smith; and step-sons Zachary Aldrich and Brycce Aldrich.

No services or visitation will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family.
