Herbert Yates Obituary

Herbert Michael Yates, age 60 of Marion, passed away on Wednesday, April 24, 2024 at his residence.

Herbert was born on May 4, 1963 to Gerald and Ada (Daniels) Yates of Marion, Ohio.

He graduated from Pleasant High School in the class of 1982. Herbert served our country in the United States Navy. He loved fishing, working in his garden, and feeding the “critters” every day. He truly loved all his family. Herbert will truly be missed by family and friends.

Herbert was preceded in death by his father, Gerald Yates and his sister, Kathy Yates.

Those who will cherish his memories include his mother, Ada Yates of Marion, Ohio; his sons, Dillian Yates of Chillicothe, Ohio and Levi Yates of Marion, Ohio; his sisters, Deb Yates of Marion, Ohio and Teresa (Tim) Keller of Mt. Gilead, Ohio; and his brother, Buddy (Annie) Yates of Marion, Ohio.

The family has requested no services to be observed at this time. A burial will take place at a later date. The Boyd Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Yates family.
