Obituary
James A. Schurch, age 72, of Marion passed away on Thursday, November 17, 2022, at 6:10 AM in the Marion General Hospital. He was born in Marion, Ohio on November 11, 1950 to Arthur and Florence (Orahood) Schurch. Jim married the former Teresa Schneider on August 14, 1982 in Marion and she survives. Surviving along with his wife are a son, T.J. Schurch of Grove City, OH., a daughter, Tracy (Syrea) Schurch-Thomas of Westerville, OH., a brother, Bill (Penny) Schurch of Marion, OH., a sister, Cheryl (Mike) Doezema of Marion, OH., and three grandchildren, Katerina, Delilah, & Zella.
Jim served in the U.S. Army Reserves. He was employed as a purchasing agent with the Ohio Department of Transportation for 29 years before his retirement in 2020. Friends may call at the Boyd Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM. Burial will be at a later date. Contributions in Jim’s name may be made to the Salvation Army Food Pantry of Marion County.
