James Mahlon Young, Jr., “Jimmy" age 57 of Marion, passed away unexpectedly on October 1, 2020 at the Community Care and Rehabilitation in Marion.
Jimmy was born on November 13, 1962 to the late James and Hazel (Hesson) Young, Sr. in Marion, Ohio. ON March 5, 2002, he married Sarah Ruby in Marion, Ohio.
Jimmy retired from the maintenance department at Honda after 15 years. He will truly be missed by family and friends. He loved football, his favorite was Ohio state and doing number pools at the American Legion with his father in law. He enjoyed watching wrestling and all the classics on tv land. Jimmy was best friends with his wife Sarah, they were married for 18 years but spent 35 cherished years together.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, His father James M Young Sr. in 2007 and Mother Hazel Young in 2010. His brother: Jay Young and a sister: Mable Young: His father in-law and number poole buddy, Wayne Ruby.
Jimmy is survived by those who will cherish his memories, his wife: Sarah Young of Marion, OH; his mother in-law Thelma Ruby; his sons: Ryan (Chasity) Ruby of Marion, OH and James (Meia Kisser) Young of Mt. Vernon, OH; his daughters: Maggie (Ozzie Hatcher) of Marion, OH and Jessica Young; his brother: Billy (Sally) Young of Marion, OH; his sister: Jeanette Faye of Marion, OH; and numerous grandchildren and special companion dog, Maddie and Lacey
The family would like to thank, Dr. Singh and Dr. McCleese for their care, Pleasant Township and Green Camp Fire Departments for their assistance given at various times. And special thanks to Kindred Hospice for their kind support and assistance for Jimmy during this difficult past year.
Family and friends may gather in his honor on Saturday, October 10, 2020 from 1 pm to 3 pm at Cornerstone Alliance Church, 2010 Marion-Marysville Rd., Marion. A celebration of life service will follow at 3 pm with Rev. Melvin Bowling officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations made to the funeral home, to help the family with final expenses, will be greatly appreciated
