Jean Marie (Keadle) Swart was born 4-21-1933 to John and Myrtle Keadle in Yorkville, OH. Jean was one of 9 children – Roger, John, Bill, Mary, Jo Ann, and George who are deceased and Esther and Phil who are surviving.
On January, 9 2021 she peacefully went to be with the Lord while surrounded by her loving family.
Jean graduated in 1951 from Yorkville High School in Yorkville, OH.
Jean is survived by her husband of 68 years Ohmer Swart. Also surviving are 3 children: Vickie (Harold) Rorick, Joyce (Rory) Brown and David (Lisa) Swart all of Marion. She loved her 9 grandchildren Nathan, Jeremy, Jacob, Jordan, Madison, David, Shayla, Symphony and Todd. She has 5 great grandchildren: Natalie, Henry, Olivia, Katie and Owen. Also special mention is Ed and Donna Welch and Kevin and Jessica Wenig as extended family.
Jean married the love of her life Ohmer December, 29 1952 in Yorkville, OH while Ohmer was on leave from serving in the U.S. Navy. This was the beginning of a marriage that lasted 68 years.
Jean worked 29 years at Marion Whirlpool. She was a Pastors wife serving 5 churches during his 53 years as a Pastor, serving in all areas of the Church of God. Jean and Ohmer have attended Kensington Nazarene Church in Marion for the last 3 years
She was a devoted Christian who loved Christ with all of her heart and served him faithfully. She was known as a kind, compassionate and generous person.
Arrangements will be performed by Boyd Funeral Home in Marion, OH.
Calling hours will be Friday, 1-15-21 at 4-8 pm at Marion Naz located at 233 W. Church St. In Marion, OH.
Viewing from 10-12 Saturday, 1-16-21 followed by the Funeral at noon also at Marion Naz.
Graveside service will be held at Grand Prairie Cemetery.
Services will be officiated by Rev. Greg Keadle and Rev. Gregg Parkman.
