Johnnie F. Parsons

Johnnie F. Parsons age 82 of Marion, Ohio passed away June 10, 2020 at Marion General Hospital.

He was born January 5, 1938 in Carter, Kentucky to the late Willie Parsons and Olive (Mattix) Gillam.

On May 5, 1957 he married Gail June (Fox) Parsons, she preceded him in death on September 29, 2008. A daughter Mary Dale Davie and a son Raymond Parsons also preceded him in death.

Johnnie was a truck driver most of his life, he retired in 2003. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Johnnie is survived by seven of his nine children, four daughters, Gail Worthington of Bellevue, Ohio, Patty (Kevin) Plotner, Kim (Delmar) Moore and Judy (George) Plotner all of Marion, three sons, Johnnie (Kim) Parsons Jr. of Delaware, Ohio, Billy Parsons and Timmy Parsons of Marion. He is also survived by 24 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren and 15 great great grandchildren, his brother, LeRoy Gillam of Prospect, Ohio and two sisters, Phyllis (Carl) Mullins and Vickie Gillam of Ironton, Ohio.

A Graveside service will be held Monday, June 15, 2020 at Claridon Cemetery with Rev. Barkley Slone officiating.
