Larry E. Williams

Larry Eugene Williams, age 66 of Lansing, North Carolina, formerly of Marion, passed away on Sunday, July 19, 2020. He was born on September 2, 1953 in Marion to Helen (McCombs) Williams and the late James R. Williams.

Larry proudly served his country in the United States Navy, holding the rank of Boilermaker and then Fireman during the Vietnam Era, and he loved fishing.

He is survived by his mother Helen Williams; his son Matthew Williams; 2 grandchildren; and his uncle Don McCombs.

He was preceded in death by his father James R. Williams and his brother David Williams.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, July 24, 2020 from 9 am to 10 am at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home, and only 20 people will be permitted to enter the building at a time. Services will follow at 10 am with Pastor Pat Street officiating and with the same attendance limitation in effect. Burial and military rites will follow at Prospect Cemetery.
