Madeline (Hutchinson) McKnight

Madeline (Hutchinson) McKnight, age 96 of Marion, passed away on Monday, April 15, 2024 at her residence.

She was born on December 10, 1927 in Vinton County, Ohio to the late Rev. Marion and Rebecca (Boyce) Hutchinson.  She married her late husband, Glenn T. McKnight on November 7, 1947 in Hamden, Ohio.  They had been married 61 years.  Glenn T. McKnight passed away on April 11, 2009.

Madeline enjoyed Country Music, her flowers and gardening.  She was a lifetime member of the Triangle Motorcycle Club and belonged to the Marion Senior Center.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Glenn T. McKnight; her sisters: Rosella (Hubert) Carr, Ina (Gould) Pence, Florence (Pearl) Thacker, Mattie (Chester) Thacker, Evelyn Fitzwater and Dejanne; her brother, Francis (Betty) Hutchinson; and nieces and nephews.

Those who will cherish her memories include her nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Jerry (Brenda) McKnight.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, April 19, 2024 at 1:30pm at Grand Prairie Cemetery with Reverend Craig Layne officiating.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to the Veteran’s Park and/or Grand Prairie Cemetery, 4964 Brush Ridge Drive North, Marion, Ohio 43302.  The Boyd Funeral Home is honored to be serving the McKnight family.
