Marjorie Arlene Smith

Marjorie Arlene Smith, age 90, of Marion, passed away on Friday, May 8, 2020 at Marion General Hospital.

Marjorie was born on April 7, 1930 to the late Walter and Irma (Thoms) Tritt in Lisbon, OH.  On June 14, 1953, she married the late Paul Smith in Miami, FL.

Marjorie was a member of the Grace Baptist Church in Marion.  She loved running the VBS General Store for the kids at Grace Baptist Church.  Since she had a love for sewing, she was a part of the Grace Baptist Quilting Club.  She loved to sew her own clothes and some special dolls.  She belonged to the Hobby Club of Marion as well.  She will truly be missed by family and friends.

Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Paul Smith and her son, Kenneth Smith.

Those who will cherish her memories include her son, Robert (Laurie) Smith, of Baldwin, MD, her brother, Ernie Tritt, of Atlanta, GA, her niece and nephews, Vicki, Gary, and Glenn, her grandchildren, and her great grandchild.

A private service and graveside service will be held.  Burial will take place at the Grand Prairie Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Marjorie’s memory to Grace Baptist Church’s Vacation Bible School, 1560 Marion-Marysville Rd, Marion, OH 43302.

A memorial celebration of life will be held at a later date.
