Merle Lee Kelly

Merle Lee Kelly, Age 63, of Marion passed away on Thursday, September 12, 2013, at 4:00 a.m. in his home. He was born in Richwood, Ohio on March 27, 1950 to Leland and Vera (Beers) Kelly. He graduated from North Union High School in 1968. Merle was a strong Cleveland Browns fan and a member of the Brownsbackers. For many years he coached Marion Midget Football and Baseball for Youth. Merle was an electrician and operated Kelly Electric for 21 years. He was a single parent for 31 years, raising all 5 of his children from early childhood. Surviving are 2 sons; Leland "L.A." (Kelly) Kelly of Pataskala, Oh. & Frank Kelly of Marion, Oh., 3 daughters; Lisa (Dave) Myers of Edison, Oh., Summer (Jeff) Eiseman of Marion, Oh., & Kristen Kelly of Marion, Oh., 3 sisters; Carol Kelly of Simi Valley, Ca., Marilyn Rabbitt of North Palm Beach, Fl., & Patricia Kelly of Marion, Oh., 11 grandchildren; Colton & Kinsey Eiseman, Madison, Luke, & Delaney Myers, L.A.Kelly II, C.J. Kelly, Daeland Kelly, Tayten Kelly, Sarah Kelly, and Lacie Weaver, and 2 great grandchildren. No calling hours will be observed and a private family service will be held according to his wishes.
