Pearl Johns

Pearl Johns, age 83 of Marion, passed away on Friday, September 15, 2023 at Marion General Hospital, due to unforeseen complications.
Pearl was born on December 30, 1939 to the late Clarence and Ruby (Carden) Reed in Lake City, Tennessee. On March 28, 1969, she married the late Arnold Lee Johns in Delaware, Ohio.
She enjoyed watching her soap operas and reading the newspaper. In her younger years she enjoyed going to yard sales, kids ball games and road trip to Tennessee to visit family.
Pearl was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Arnold Lee Johns; her daughter, Marlene Wallingford; her two sisters: Juanita and Mary and her two brothers: James and Pete.
Those who will cherish her memories include her daughters: Debra (David) Andrews and Loretta (Renee) Dutton; her son, John (Sherrie) Dutton; her grandchild, Tashawna Johns and great grandchildren, Audra Johns and Katelyn Arrowood whom she had raised.
She will also be remembered by, her sister, Bee; and her numerous grandchildren and great children.
Friends and family may come to honor Pearl’s life from 12pm to 1pm on Wednesday, September 20, 2023 at Boyd Funeral Home. A funeral service will start at 1pm on Wednesday, September 20, 2023 at the funeral home. A burial will follow the service at Marion Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given in Pearl’s memory to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741. The Boyd Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Johns family.
