Peggy Imbody Obituary

Peggy Ann (Blank) Imbody, aged 73, passed into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Tuesday evening November 14, 2023, surrounded by her loving family.  Peggy has been set free after a courageous 13-year battle with a rare interstitial lung disease.  Our hearts are broken, but joyous on her return home.

Peggy was born June 14, 1950, to James A. and Phyllis J. (Baldauf) Blank.  She was a lifelong member of Emanuel Lutheran Church. She graduated from Pleasant High School class of 1968.  In 1975, Peggy was set up on a blind date with mutual friends and from there on the rest is history.  On July 18, 1977, she was united in marriage to her one true love, James E. Imbody, and together they built a life and family that is admired by so many, a true testament of love for one another, and a reflection of their strong faith.  They cherished one another for 46 wonderful years.

Peggy was the ultimate cook and pie maker, her unwavering love for her family shone through the food she made and the laughter she enjoyed around the table with those near and dear to her.  Peggy was a fixer, she always found a way around obstacles and hardships in life, and always came up with perfect solutions.  She passed so many skills and advice onto her children, her lasting legacy of always being ready for whatever comes.  She was also a planner who loved to travel, seeing the majestic redwoods and sequoias of northern California as well as the beaches of South Carolina and Cancun were among her favorites.  She was an advocate for organ donation, as she was a living donor to her daughter Kathryn and worked for many years at Smith Clinic and Fresenius Dialysis.  So many things about Peggy make her unforgettable and precious to those who loved her.

Surviving is her loving husband, James E. Imbody; Her beloved daughters: Belinda A. (Mike) Lewis, Krista A. (John) Porter, Kathryn A. (Eddie) Madden all from central Ohio; Grandchildren A.J. Lewis and Lindsey (Jim) Reed; great-grandchildren Jenna and Megan Reed; Mother; Phyllis J. Blank; Siblings: Roger (Sharon) Blank, Brenda Dawson, Ronnie (Loraine) Blank, and Linda (Mic) Kulkofsky; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father James A. Blank, Her sister Tammy J. Blank, and brother-in-law Clyde B. Dawson.

“Moreover Brethren, I declare unto you the Gospel which I preach unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.  For I delivered unto you first of all which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures.” Apostle Paul’s writings: 1 Corinthians Ch. 15 verses 1-4 KJV

Contributions may be made in honor of Peggy to Lifeline of Ohio, Les Feldick Ministries Kinta, OK., and John Hagee Ministries Sanctuary of Hope San Antonio, TX.
