William Michael Burgess, age 72, of Marion passed away on Thursday, March 14, 2024, at 8:48 PM in the Embassy of Marion. He was born on July 24, 1951 in Pikeville, KY. to the late William Herbert and Alice Mae (Gilliam) Burgess.

Bill is survived by a son, William M. Burgess Jr., 2 brothers, Paul D. (Tammy) Burgess of Prospect, OH. & John Burgess of Nevada, OH., a sister, Barbara Johnson of South Carolina, and 2 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, James & Roy Burgess and a sister, Vonda Welch.

He served in the U.S. Air Force. Throughout his life, Bill worked for several different companies, the last before his retirement was the Whirlpool Corporation. There will be no visiting hours or funeral service observed at this time.
